| Southeastern Swimming
has presented Head NAC Coach, John Morse, the Dick
Fagen Senior Coach of the year Award for 2009. This comes after
Coach Bryan Welter was voted the Age Group Coach of the year. The
award is voted on by the coaches of Southeastern Swimming. This
is the 6th time Coach Morse has received this award and the second
time he has received the award for 2 consecutive years. Coach Morse
has been with the Nashville Aquatic Club for over 25 years and continues
to lead the team to championships on all levels including Southeasterns,
Junior Nationals, Nationals, World Champ Trials, World Championships,
Olympic Trials, and the Olympic Games. This year he was also chosen
as the Head Women's Coach of the United States National Youth Team.
In 2008 Coach Morse was given two of the most prestigious awards
in swimming: The USA Swimming Developmental Coach of the Year and
the USA Olympic Committee Developmental Coach of the Year. This
past summer he also led NAC to their 32nd Southeastern Championship
Title.
In addition to the Long Course SES Championship Title NAC had
the most swimmers from any team in the LSC named to the 2008-2009
SES Long Course Age Group All-Star Team. Here are our All-Stars:
