Nashville Aquatic Club Competitive Age Group Team Group Levels Our program group levels offer competitive swimming to all ages and skill levels, from the age of 5 to 19. The Group Levels are a step by step progression through the program. Beginning with the Green Group and ending with the Senior 3 group. Moving swimmers up through the levels is the sole responsibility of the coach staff. We are very proud to have specific experienced Coaches running each group. (refer to the Coach Bios). This is our introductory group for the first time swimmer or for swimmers emerging from Summer League Teams and Swim America swim lessons. Stroke fundamentals and a love for the sport are emphasized. Green Group is offered throughout the year as 12 week sessions. Swimmers are encouraged to attend 2-3 practices per week. This group is offered at the Centennial Sportsplex. Click here for the Green Group Information Sheet. This group refines and builds upon fundamentals introduced in the Green group while introducing more advanced drills and efficiency techniques. Basic dryland routines will be introduced to increase coordination and balance. Swimmers are encouraged to attend 3-4 practices per week and all local swim meets. This group is offered at our sites at Centennial Sportsplex and Williamson County Indoor Sports Complex in Bretwood. The emphasis of this group still is on stroke mechanics, with the addition of basic interval training and continued aerobic development. At this time, swimmers are introduced to a basic training environment. Swimmers are encouraged to attend 4-5 practices per week as well as all team swim meets. This group is offered at our sites at Centennial Sportsplex and Williamson County Indoor Sports Complex. This is the final step that your child will take in age group swimming. While stroke mechanics are refined, swimmers will need to focus on conditioning and training consistently. Swimmers are encouraged to attend 5-6 practices per week as well as all team swim meets. This group is offered at our sites at Centennial Sportsplex and Williamson County Indoor Sports Complex. This group makes a shift in focus from skill development to competition training. Aerobic endurance is stressed, while weight and dryland training is increased. Swimmers are encouraged to attend all scheduled practices per week as well as all team swim meets. This group is offered at our Centennial Sportsplex site only. This is our elite training group which prepares swimmers for Regional, National, and International level competition. At this time strength training is increased, as well as training volumes and intensities. Swimmers are expected to attend all workouts at this level, as practices are designed specifically for individual race and stroke needs. This group is offered at our Centennial Sportsplex site only. The Nashville Aquatic Club has been challenging area youth to be the best they can be for the last 32 years.
