(Placement Trial Information)
Green Group
Group Description: This group focuses on teaching the fundamentals of all four strokes, as well as building strength and endurance through drills, multiple lengths, and on deck coaching. There will be a strong emphasis on developing competition skills and readying the swimmers for competitions. Some specific skills being taught will include: legal technique in all four strokes, competitive turns, competitive starts, and an introduction to interval training. Basic dryland routines will be introduced on Saturdays for 15 minutes before we swim to increase coordination and balance. Athletes need to wear t-shirt, shorts and gym shoes over their swimsuit for dryland. The recommended age for this group is 6-8 years.
Equipment requirements: Swimmers must have a pair of fins and a mesh equipment bag to carry their fins on and off the pool deck for each practice. Please make sure to label all equipment clearly with your child's name.

Green Group swimmers should attend 2-3 practices per week and compete in at least one local swim meet per month.
Registration Fee: This is an annual, non-refundable fee to cover USA Swimming registration and insurance, subscription to Splash Magazine, voucher toward purchase of NIKE gear, team shirt, swim cap, team parties, treat bags, championship t-shirts, etc. (New families receive a Kroger Cares card as part of their registration packet). The registration fee for all New Swimmers is $150 and is payable by credit card during the online registration process.
Monthly Training Fees: Green Group training fees are $70/month. Swim meets fees are charged per swim meet entered and can range from $20-$50 per meet.
White Group
Group Description: This group refines and builds upon fundamentals while introducing more advanced drills and efficiency techniques. There will also be a strong emphasis on developing and refining competition skills. Some specific skills being taught will include: legal technique in all four strokes, competitive turns, competitive starts, interval training with a pace clock, and an introduction to training sets. Basic dryland routines will be incorporated 3 times a week for 15-30 minutes before we swim to increase coordination and balance. Athletes need to wear t-shirt, shorts and gym shoes over their swimsuit for dryland. The recommended age for this group is 7-9 years.
Equipment requirements: Swimmers must have a pair of fins and a mesh equipment bag to carry their fins on and off the pool deck for each practice. Please make sure to label all equipment clearly with your child's name.
White Group Practice Schedule
White Group swimmers should attend 3-4 practices per week, compete in all local swim meets and at least one travel swim meet per year.

Your family fundraising amount is based upon your most advanced swimmer.

$200 – Returning Families in White Group and Red Group
$300 – All Other Families – Blue, Senior 1, 2 & 3
Red Group

There will be a strong emphasis on stroke mechanics and refining competition skills with the addition of interval training and conditioning. Intermediate dryland routines will be incorporated 3 times a week for 30 minutes to increase coordination and strength. Athletes need to wear t-shirt, shorts and gym shoes over their swimsuit for dryland. The recommended age for this group is 8-10 years.
Equipment requirements: Swimmers must have a pair of fins and a mesh equipment bag to carry their fins on and off the pool deck for each practice. Please make sure to label all equipment clearly with your child's name.
Red Group Practice Schedule
Red Group swimmers should attend 4-5 practices per week and compete in all local swim meets and one travel swim meet per season.

Blue Group
Group Description: This is our most advanced level of our age group program. In this group, swimmers will refine stroke mechanics and focus on conditioning and training consistently. Athletes will focus on setting short and long term goals throughout the season in order to better understand the process of the sport. Intermediate to advanced dryland routines are incorporated 3 times a week for 30 minutes to increase coordination and strength. Athletes need to wear t-shirt, shorts and gym shoes over their swimsuit for dryland. The recommended age for this group is 10-12 years.
Equipment requirements: Swimmers must have a pair of fins, stroke maker paddles and a mesh equipment bag to carry their equipment on and off the pool deck for each practice. Please make sure to label all equipment clearly with your child's name.
